Well I have coupled everything up. I’m not an amazing fan of OAG’s but I had one in the spares box and just thought it was simpler to try it out.  In the end it was all for nothing as I couldn’t get both the camera and guide camera into focus at the same time.  

I should have got loads of spare spacers and adaptors when I got the camera so would have been able to turn the OAG round the other way, but this was the only way it would couple up with the bits I had.

I also don’t need a guider either, well not for exposures of less than 3 minutes, as the G11 is quite capable of tracking itself – despite being grossly overloaded with the 250mm RC as well.

Anyway, I’m all ready to go – bring on first light.
