I’m not sure there is not and ounce of natural artistic talent in my body, watching ‘Landscape artist of the year’ on Sky gave me the motivation to maybe give pencil drawing a go.

While I have sketched sunspots for an astronomical observation, this is the first time since junior school that I have seriously given this a go.

So with a drawing class starting in April 2018, I thought I would get a head start with some practice session from an online art course tutorial.  Once you look at the anatomy of how you approach the construction, the whole process can be quite forgiving of any lack of talent.

While not totally happy with this, I was pleasantly surprised what came out after maybe 3 hours of work.
